Hi, I’m Brittney

Even as a child, I was always designing the space around me. As a kid I would tear pictures out of calendars, find matching frames, arrange everything just right. A few months later it was time for a new look.

As time passed, I became that friend. The one you call when you can’t decide on the right color, where to move something, and someone to see the possibilities they had yet to consider. Fast forward years later and I became a mom. Creating spaces for my kids gave that love of design an entirely new meaning. Their rooms became a chance to create something around who they were, what they loved, and the things that made them happy.

Over the years, I learned by doing. I made things, refinished pieces someone else was ready to throw away, changed my mind, made mistakes, and tried again. Sometimes there was room in the budget. Sometimes not and I learned to make due. The one constant has always been that every project taught me something new. Color, scale, texture, balance, materials, and all the little details that can completely change the way a space feels.

Today, I get to bring that same feeling into other people’s homes. There’s something incredibly rewarding about working with someone who has put so much into getting to this point. Whether it’s a first home, a forever home, or simply a home they’re finally ready to make their own. I get to help bring the final pieces together and turn the space they worked so hard for into a home that truly reflects who they are.

SEEING THE SPACE IS ONLY HALF OF IT

Design is personal. I’ve spent much of my life and career working with, learning from, and getting to know people from completely different backgrounds and lifestyles. It taught me how to listen, understand what matters to people, and see things from perspectives other than my own. The ability to understand who I am designing for is just as important to me as the design itself.

For real estate and investment properties, I’m looking at the home through the lens of it’s market, price point, location, and the people most likely to buy it. I envision the person who the home could be for. Then I create a space that helps that buyer be able to connect themselves to it. I can walk into any property, regardless of it’s condition, and see what it could be.

Sometimes a buyer simply can’t see beyond what’s in front of them. My goal is to help the agent give that potential buyer a vision of what could be there’s. Often times, being able to truly see that possibility is what helps make the sale.
